International Start-Ups´Conference LEAP Brought Together 70 Students14.05.2015

On May 13, the start-ups´ conference LEAP was held at TTK UAS, organized by the international student organization AIESEC in the framework of the Estonian ICT Week. The conference was opened by AIESEC representative Emre Ergin, who said creating start-ups has become very popular all over the world, but not many of them actually succeed. The welcome speech was followed by a panel discussion “Why Start-Ups Fail,” by Andrei Korobeinik (EstBan, Flirtic), Andrus Oks (SmartCap) and Martin Villig (Taxify).

After the panel discussion, the participants could have consultations with the representatives of Estonian Business Angels Association EstBAN, Tallinn knowledge park Tehnopol, Oralce and Tallinn Incubators.

The conference also offered a chance to participate in workshops:
“How to Innovate” by Telegrupp, “Advanced IoT Cloud” by Tele2 and “International Marketing” by Linx Telecom. The puropse of the conference was to introduce the possibilities of start-ups in Estonia, share entrepreneurship experiences, develop the skills of intercultural communication and teamwork and encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship among youth and students.
