On 5 – 6 September, the Estonian Open for Speedcubing was held at TTK UAS. The program consisted of 12 competitions and the event witnessed several new records for Estonia, Latvia and Finland. The fastest result of the competition was 7,28 seconds for solving the 3X3 cube by a Finnish contestant Kim Jokinen. The second place went to an Estonian Anti Ingel, who also won the competition of solving the cube with the least number of turns. Uku Kruusamägi from Estonia won the 4×4 blindfolded challenge. Vladislavs Baranovs, the fastest man from Latvia, won the large cube 5×5 and 6×6 challenges.

Estonian Open is the biggest and oldest speedcubing competition in the Baltic countries. This time, the organizers were especially happy because the number of younger contestants is rising, which is a sign of the growing popularity of the sport. http://www.estonianopen.eu/
