Today, on October 29, the TTK University of Applied Sciences Institute of Civil Engineering will present its new international project, EXEP3D, at the Concrete Technology Day organized by the Estonian Concrete Association. This project focuses on developing 3D concrete printing and sustainable concrete mixtures in Estonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the project is to expand skills, share knowledge, and enhance the innovation capacity of the Institute of Civil Engineering at the TTK University of Applied Sciences in the field of construction technology, with the goal of becoming a leading center of expertise in 3D concrete printing and locally-produced sustainable mixtures in Estonia and the Baltics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEXEP3D is a significant step in the development of Estonian construction technology, bringing us closer to more sustainable and efficient solutions that can be applied both nationally and internationally,\u201d said Aivars Alt, senior lecturer at the Institute of Civil Engineering and EXEP3D project manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The international project will last three years, with the TTK University of Applied Sciences as the lead partner. Collaboration will take place with two European technical universities \u2013 Technische Universiteit Eindhoven in the Netherlands and the Technische Universit\u00e4t Dresden in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alt stated that working with leading universities will provide us with unique insights into 3D concrete printing and the development of local mixtures. “The project has the potential to revolutionize the entire field of construction technology, giving the Estonian construction industry a competitive edge while supporting Europe’s sustainability goals.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
