TTK UAS opened a Railway Simulation Centre

On April 25th, TTK UAS opened a new railway simulation centre for training top railway specialists. The state-of-the art railway laboratory with Stadler FLIRT train simulation centre, costing 860 000 euros, is the newest in the Baltic States.

TTK UAS lecturer Martin Kuusk said that the lab has equipment for training railway top specialists and students according to the standards and requirements of the European Union. As the digitalization of the automatic- and control systems of locomotives and railway systems set new requirments, the creation of a new centre offering such high-quality training was essential to keep up with recent developments.

TTK UAS is the only institution in Estonia offering higher education in the field of railway. In addition to higher education curricula, the university organizes in-service trainings for railway specialists.
