TTK UAS was awarded the Silver Label of Family Friendly Employer on the ceremony that took place on October 17th. The final labels were awarded to 24 employers, including for example LHV Bank, Scania Eesti, Tele2 and Statistics Estonia.

The Minister for Social Affairs, Mr Tanel Kiik, said that being family friendly means supporting the employees in all stages of their lives. “Reconciliation between work and family life affects us all, all stages of life have its joys and challenges, being it the addition of a new family member, parenting children, supporting loved ones or upgrading one’s skills. More and more organizations have realized that flexibility in working conditions and supporting the employees are important,” said minister Kiik

The family-friendly employer programme involves a long-term consultation and evaluation process that includes many supporting activities. The aim of the long-term advisory programme is to change the organizational culture and working environment to be more family-friendly and to ensure long-term and persistent results.

The process of applying for the Family-Friendly Employer label lasts 1,5 to 3 years and culminates with a final label on gold, silver or bronze level. The consultation and assessment process involve different aspects of working life from recruitment to termination of work relations including the recognition of employees, supporting their professional development and guaranteeing good working environment, organizational culture and communication.
