On May 26, the selection board that gathered for the election of the Rector of TTK University of Applied Sciences decided to reinstate Enno Lend, who has been the Rector of TTK UAS for the past ten years.

The selection board consisted of two representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research, two representatives of TTK UAS and two of its Council plus one representative of the employers of the sector.

The Rector’s new term of office will begin on August 1 and it will last for five years.

Enno Lend (PhD) has been the Rector of TTK University of Applied Sciences since 2010. From 1992 to 2010 he was the Vice Rector of the TTK UAS. Between 2008 and 2015 he was the Chairman of the Council of Engineers, intensively cooperating with the Estonian Qualifications Authority. He has chaired twice the Estonian Rectors Conference of Universities of Applied Sciences (2013–2014 and 2017–2018). Since 2016, he is Member of the Council of Estonia Employers’ Confederation.

Enno Lend has been involved with several research groups and project teams on the field of logistics and higher education management. Between 2004 and 2013 he was an expert of Sixth and Seventh Framework and the Horizon Programme for Research and Technological Development in the field of sustainable surface transport. Since 2014, he is Horizon 2020 expert on smart, green and integrated transport.
