This year, TTK UAS received the highest number of new students’ applications in the last 10 years. Civil engineering, logistics and business administration were the most popular choices amongst potential new students.

TTK UAS received altogether 3800 applications, almost double the number compared to last year with 1947 applications. According to Anne Rooste, Head of the Office of Academic Affairs, this is the biggest competition of the last 10 years.

The most popular curriculum was civil engineering that received an average of 8,1 applications per study place. It was also the most popular last year with 5,9 applications. Transport and logistics and business administration both received 7,9 applications per study place. The brand-new curriculum of purchasing and procurement management turned out to amongst the most popular with 7 applications per study place.

Enno Lend, rector of TTK UAS, says that he is very happy to see high interest in engineering studies, especially because of the rise of popularity of curricula that have not received that many applications in previous years. “A very good example of this are the daily studies of all the technical curricula,” he added. He pointed out that now the students must confirm their choices and then we will know exactly what the profile and number of new students will be. First admission lists will be published on July 13.

TTK UAS is the fourth biggest higher education institution in Estonia with about 3200 students. TTK UAS offers 19 curricula mainly in the fields of technology, production, civil engineering and logistics, but also in business and welfare. In September 2019, a new Institute of Service Economy was formed on the basis of former Lääne-Viru College which was merged with TKK UAS.
