268 future talents graduate from TTK University of Applied Sciences

At the winter graduation ceremony of TTK University of Applied Sciences, 268 students received their diplomas, including 25 who graduated cum laude. The largest numbers of graduates came from the study programmes in transport and logistics, business administration, automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering.

In his commencement address, Rector Professor Martti Kiisa spoke to the new graduates about the rapidly changing world of work, emphasizing that continuous self-improvement is crucial for professional development.
“Professional life is no longer an old steam locomotive, but a high-speed train racing ahead. If you stay on the platform stretching your legs for too long, you’ll miss the train,” the rector said, urging graduates to make wise use of the many opportunities for lifelong learning.

According to the rector, it is also important to consciously surround oneself with people from whom one can learn. “I wish you the wisdom to recognize wise people—those are the ones worth staying close to and worth keeping. Always surround yourselves with people who are smarter than you,” he said.

In closing, the rector wished the graduates a smooth and steady journey ahead. “Keep your heads cool and your hearts warm,” he added.

This winter, 61 students graduated from the Institute of Technology and Circular Economy, 73 from the Institute of Logistics, 83 from the Institute of Technology, 36 from the Institute of Service Management, and 15 from the Institute of Construction.
