On August 1, Rector Martti Kiisa began his five-year term as rector of TTK University of Applied Sciences.
Martti Kiisa was elected Rector of TTK University of Applied Sciences on 19 June this year. Professor Martti Kiisa has worked at Tallinn University of Technology in various positions since 2003, of which he has been Vice Rector for Academic Affairs for the last five years. He studied civil engineering at Tallinn University of Technology and defended his doctorate in civil and environmental engineering there.
According to Rector Martti Kiisa, it is a pure joy to take up the position of rector of a higher education institution whose strongest foundation is its membership. “In the coming years, there is no need to radically renew the well-functioning system as a whole, but to wisely identify bottlenecks, determine areas for development and direct the main development activities,” said Kiisa.
