Martti Kiisa, Rector of TTK University of Applied Sciences, invited the university’s key cooperation partners to a special event to express gratitude and recognition to companies and institutions that have supported the value of higher education and contributed to the sustainable development of the university.
The event brought together major internship providers, representatives of professional associations, members of the TTK Advisory Board, rectors of universities of applied sciences, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research, developers of business cooperation, commissioners of applied research, sponsors and supporters, contributors to curriculum development, supporters of laboratory equipment, and scholarship donors.
The cooperation partners were first addressed by Rector Martti Kiisa. This was followed by a speech from Renno Veinthal, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Research, who highlighted the university’s role in providing strong and consistent professional higher education. The speeches were concluded by Arvi Hamburg, Chairman of the TTK Advisory Board.
During the event, tokens of appreciation were presented to major sponsors as well as scholarship donors. The TTK University of Applied Sciences Major Sponsor Award is granted to an individual or organisation that has supported the university’s development with at least 25,000 euros during the past calendar year.
The 2025 Major Sponsor Award was presented to Toyota Baltic AS and the Gene Haas Foundation.
Six scholarship donors were also recognised with letters of appreciation. In total, they supported TTK students with nearly 20,000 euros over the past year.
