Laura Reimets, a 4th-year student specializing in the Fashion Engineering, has showcased we are at the forefront of our field in Europe. She and her teammate Katrin Tšupin from Tallinn Industrial Education Centre received the Medal of Excellence in the Fashion Design and Technology Team Challenge at EuroSkills2023, the European Championship of Young Professionals in Gdansk, which took place from September 5th to 9th. This year, over 600 young professionals from various European countries participated in the competition.

The competition spanned 2.5 intense days and encompassed a range of specialized tasks, including pattern drafting, garment construction, fashion sketching, creating technical drawings and product specifications using computer software, timed sewing, and delivering persuasive sales pitches.

The contestants were guided by instructors from the Institute of Technology and Circular Economy, Diana Tuulik and Jane Kivistik, as well as Merilin Kähar from Tallinn Industrial Education Centre.
