What Will You Learn in This Curriculum?

This program prepares specialists who can promote human well-being and contribute to social change at the individual, community, and societal levels. Students will gain comprehensive knowledge in areas such as welfare systems, psychology, counseling, client work, and social policy.

The curriculum combines theoretical and practical training for working with children and families, the elderly, and individuals with special needs. You will have the opportunity to learn under the guidance of experienced faculty members who are recognized experts in their field.

The study process integrates theory with practice through learning laboratories, with one-sixth of the program dedicated to hands-on experience in social welfare institutions and organizations.

Career Opportunities After Graduation

Graduates with a solid foundation in social work are in demand across public sector institutions, local governments, and private companies. A degree in social work also provides an excellent basis for independent endeavors, such as establishing yourself as a social entrepreneur. Career options include roles such as a social worker in local governments, social or healthcare institutions, criminal justice systems, and more.

Further Study Opportunities

Upon graduation, students receive an applied higher education diploma and a bachelor’s degree, certifying their expertise in the field and enabling them to enter the workforce immediately.

Those who hold a bachelor’s degree can also pursue master’s studies at Tallinn University or the University of Tartu to further deepen their knowledge and skills.
