About the institute

Located at the Mõdriku Study Centre in Lääne-Viru County, 110 kilometres from Tallinn, the Institute of Service Economy prepares specialists who support the management and development of organisations and promote people’s well-being across various fields. Studies combine professional knowledge with practical projects, collaboration with businesses and professional practice, preparing graduates for careers in management, accounting, social work and information management.

The institute combines applied higher education with research and development activities and cooperation with companies and the public sector. Applied research focuses on management, entrepreneurship, accounting, information management, human resource management and social work, supporting organisational development and the creation of solutions that respond to the needs of society.

Studies

The institute offers the following degree programmes:

  • Business Development and Management
    The programme provides the knowledge and practical skills needed to develop and manage businesses and design innovative solutions.
    Study modes: combined daytime and session-based study, session-based study
  • Accounting
    The programme covers the principles of accounting, financial management and economic analysis, as well as their application in organisations.
    Study modes: combined daytime and session-based study, session-based study
  • Social Work
    The programme covers the principles of social welfare, counselling and community work and their application in promoting people’s well-being.
    Study modes: combined daytime and session-based study, session-based study
  • Information Management and Organisation of Information Systems
    The programme prepares specialists to organise information management and support organisations’ business and IT processes.
    Study mode: session-based study (admission is currently not open)

The language of instruction of all curricula at TTK UAS is Estonian.

Courses in English are available for Erasmus+ exchange students from TTK UAS partner universities.


Laboratories

The institute’s laboratories support organisational development, the development of digital solutions and the promotion of people’s well-being.
