About the institute
Institute of Civil Engineering prepares applied engineers who design, construct and maintain buildings, infrastructure and properties. Studies combine engineering knowledge with practical projects, laboratory work and professional practice, preparing graduates for careers in building construction, road construction, geodesy and facilities management.
In addition to teaching, the institute conducts applied research and development activities, providing companies with professional consultancy, testing and expert services. The institute is recognised for its expertise in analysing the condition of structures and conducting full-scale testing, and actively contributes to the development of the construction sector through participation in professional working and development groups. The institute also organises further training in various fields related to construction.
