The faculty provides higher education in the field of machine building and engineering materials and marketing. Every year about 50 daily learning students and 70 distant students have been accepted. Developing the curriculum the needs and recommendations of representatives of professional unions and experts of curricula have been taken into consideration.
The curricula of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering are meant for 4-year education and are based on the courses system and the modulus system. Module based course system gives the possibility to choose selected subjects. In addition to daily courses distant learning courses are also available. Scope in credit points/learning weeks: 240 ECTS CP – quite the same system as for example in Finland.
The aim of the curriculum is to educate students so that after the graduation they will be experts in the field of machine building or engineering materials and marketing. Our graduates have been successful in their working-life, nobody is unemployed and they have been very expected in different companies. |
